Rashford could benefit from that, if Ten Hag decides to play him as a striker again. Martial's fitness across a season cannot be guaranteed and Ronaldo is in the winter of his career, meaning neither will consistently start at centre-forward in this campaign.
Rashford, Elanga and Alejandro Garnacho all prefer the left wing, so it would make sense to move Rashford down the middle, considering his quality in that role and that Martial and Ronaldo are the only recognised centre-forwards at the club. That means Antony's arrival could move Sancho back to left wing, which increases competition in an already well-stocked position. Sancho has occupied that position this season but his best form for the club has been produced playing on the opposite side.
